Cast and assets
How to create characters, give them bodies, tint their looks, and manage the files your story loads.
A cast member is a character your script can name. An asset is a file your project loads: an avatar, an environment, an animation clip, a sound, a video, an image. The two meet in one place, the cast row's avatar picker, and the rest of this section is about each half.
Cast lives in the right dock, under the Project tab, in the Cast panel. Assets live beside it in the Assets panel. Both write straight to the project as you type, so there is no save button.
One thing worth knowing before you start: Narratomi consumes avatars, it never authors them. There is no face sculptor and no outfit editor here. You make characters in a tool like VRoid Studio, export a VRM, and upload it. The only appearance change the studio makes is a color tint. See Bring your own VRM for the round trip.
