Plans and limits

What each plan includes, how AI credits are priced and metered, and the per-project and per-file caps that apply to everyone.

Three plans: Free, Creator, Team. Everything on this page is read from the entitlement table the app itself enforces, so the numbers here and the numbers in Settings are the same numbers.

Prices

PlanMonthlyAnnual
Free$0$0
Creator$15 / month$12 / month, billed annually
Team$25 / seat / month$20 / seat / month, billed annually

Prices exclude tax, which is computed at checkout. Cancelling from the billing portal leaves the plan running to the end of the paid period.

Storage is counted per account, over distinct asset content hashes. Uploading a file that is byte-identical to one you already have costs nothing extra, and neither does referencing the same asset from two projects.

Team's guest-editor limit is the number of seats you have purchased, so a two-seat team may add two guest editors.

Retention

Publishing prunes old versions down to the plan's retention count. The version just published is always the live one, so a prune can never take it. On Free, publishing a fourth time deletes version 1 and its blob. Saves pin to the version they were taken on, so a pruned version takes its saves with it. Paid plans keep every version forever.

AI credits

Credits price what a model call actually costs, rather than counting tokens blindly.

  • 1 credit is $0.001 of model cost.
  • A call costs ceil(cost in dollars * 1000), with a floor of 1 credit.
  • A gpt-4o-mini turn is around 1 credit. The same turn on gpt-4o is around 15.
  • An unrecognized model id is priced at gpt-4o rates. A configuration gap overcharges rather than crashing the co-writer mid-stream.

Two limits apply at once, and a call needs to be under both:

  • the monthly pool, which is the plan's credits plus any top-ups you have bought;
  • the daily burst cap, an abuse brake that resets at the next UTC midnight. Top-ups do not raise it.

The month is the UTC calendar month. Nothing resets on a billing anniversary, and there is no reset job to wait for. Both the co-writer and the agent spend from the same pool.

Free is restricted to mini-class models. A request for a standard model on Free is refused before the call is made, not billed and then failed.

The budget is checked before a call and recorded after it. Several requests in flight at once can therefore overshoot the cap slightly. The overshoot is bounded by the per-call context cap and self-corrects on the next request.

Plays

A play is one load of a published story from a share link. The play cap is a soft cap: going over it shows an interstitial, and the share link keeps serving. A published story is never taken offline for hitting a number. Play packs extend the cap, and the interstitial counts against the extended total.

Top-ups

One-time AI credit top-ups and play packs are available from Settings on any plan, including Free. They do not expire. Prices are shown at checkout.

Limits that apply on every plan

LimitValue
Asset file size50 MB per file
Project asset quota500 MB per project
Choice grid columns1 to 8

The per-file and per-project caps are deployment settings, so a self-hosted or future deployment may differ. The values above are the defaults, and they are what narratomi.com runs. An upload over either cap is rejected server-side with a message naming the limit in MB.

Accepted upload types are fixed per asset kind: GLB and VRM for avatars, environments and clips, MP3, OGG and WAV for audio, MP4 and WebM for video, PNG, JPEG and WebP for images. See assets.

Where to check your usage

Settings shows your current plan, its monthly allowances, any top-ups you have bought, and a link to the Stripe billing portal for invoices, payment methods, seats, and cancellation. Credit spending is covered in credits.
