Showcase

How stories get onto the Narratomi showcase page, and what a listing needs.

The showcase at /showcase is a hand-picked grid of stories made in Narratomi. Each card is a poster, a title, a one-line blurb, and a link straight into the real player.

There is no submission form

The list is curated. It is a fixed list held in the app, not a database flag you can set from the editor, so there is no "submit my story" button anywhere and no queue to wait in. Ask the Narratomi team if you want a story considered.

That is the same decision as everywhere else in publishing: stories are unlisted by default, and the showcase is a small curated exception rather than a storefront. Nothing you publish becomes discoverable by accident.

What a listing needs

If you are putting a story forward, have these ready.

  • A live published version. The showcase links to a real play URL, so the story has to be published, live, and playable end to end.
  • A link that will not move. Showcase entries point at a fixed slug. Do not rotate the link of a listed story: the card would 404 the moment you did.
  • A title. The showcase card shows the story's title, not the project name. Set it in the right dock, Project tab, Content sub-tab.
  • A one-line blurb. One sentence saying what the story is. Look at the existing cards for length.
  • A poster image. A wide still that reads at card size. A frame from the story itself works better than an editor screenshot.

What listing changes

Play pages are normally served noindex. A listed story is the exception: its play page becomes crawlable, so it can turn up in search results. Everything else you publish stays unlisted.

Nothing else about the story changes. It is the same bundle, the same share link, the same saves. See Share links for the rest.
